Norton, MA----Nortech Engineering, Inc. announces the acquisition of Murdock Systems, Inc. of Swansea, Massachusetts.

Murdock designs, engineers and builds Custom Automation & Control Systems. For over 10 years, Murdock Systems, Inc. has produced the very best and most reliable customer specified systems for a wide range of industries. At the heart of Murdock’s systems, you will find components from the most recognized vendors including Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB, Hoffman, Bussman, Watlow and many others. One of Murdock’s key elements is a staff that includes electrical, software and electronic engineers with years of experience designing, programming and manufacturing large and small-scale automation and control systems. Murdock also can provide installation as well as start-up support.

Nortech manufactures Rugged Industrial operator interface products including LCDs; Industrial Workstations; Panel PC’s and customer specified products. All products are designed and engineered to be cost effective while maintaining high quality standards. Nortech sells to many industries: plastics, food, aerospace, military, system builders and automation integrators. Our strength continues to be flexibility in both design and customization to meet client needs. As a direct result of this philosophy, Nortech just completed a two-year contract providing rugged, high bright displays for all classes of U.S. Coast Guard Cutters. Nortech was awarded this contract after designing custom environmental and operator requirements that the USCG specified.

Nortech Engineering and Murdock Systems will be divisions of Nortech Engineering, Inc. Both operations will be brought together in a new facility on April 4, 2005 with the intent of offering the product line breadth of both entities to our customers.
